A Special Policy Study Summary Report for the CCICED, the China Council for Internation Cooperation on Environment and Development
This report, delivered to top Chinese officials, including Premier Li Keqiang and the State Council, details the growing problems of traffic congestion and traffic-related air pollution in Chinese cities, and provides a set of high-level recommendations for the State Council on how to addess these concerns. The work was carried out by a study team comprising Chinese and international experts, including ITDP’s Michael Replogle, and is part of a wider initiative on exploring the ways in which China might develop more sustainable cities, and focuses on the contribution that ‘green travel’ can make to achieve this goal.
